Late last week we officially launched Swarrm into private beta. Swarrm was greeted with a rush of sign-ups and traffic, which is always a good thing. We have been noting, reviewing and digesting any and all feedback to help better the experience. There are plenty of tweaks and new features in the pipeline so keep watch. It’s been a long time coming but it has finally happened. Swarrm.com beta has launched. Just yesterday, thanks to a nice review on Mashable we have added several hundred new beta users join. The site has handled the new load well and continues to operate smoothly.
Feed back is key during this phase of development. Swarrm is a discovery utility for you. So please use the contact forms to send constructive feedback to the team so that we may continue shaping Swarrm and improving the user experience.

Now see all your favorite categories and the newest five stories for each all on one page. Log in, go to the page and leave it open all day and see what’s up with all your interests without having to click more than once!

After a couple months of hiding in a cave, refining features, adding functionality and listening to the best group of beta testers a site could ask for, Swarrm now sports an updated look that’s more beta than alpha, and this sentence is really long.
Users now have a real time window into who is looking at a particular story with them. This has led the development team down a path of new product development that wasn’t there 3 months ago.

I am very pleased to let you know that we have revamped the layout of the article list pages. We have removed the clutter to make viewing articles easier and improved load time while cutting back significantly on server resources. A win win win!
Also, we have added functionality to sharing stories with friends by giving you the ability to send stories to up to 5 people at once! Share with 4 Swarrm friends and 1 via direct email.
In the coming days more functionality will roll out so stay tuned and keep swarming!

Well we have finally overcome last minute server and scripting woes. The site has been enveiled to some lucky peeps that are using it for all their news surfing needs. I must say I am happpy with the progress thus far. Stories are flowing in from around the interwebs quite steadily and I foresee more beta testers being added next week.
Fingers crossed we will have a soft launch open beta sometime next month along with some great new features!!!

We are working hard to resolve a couple last minute, unforeseen, server issues. I predict that either today or tomorrow we will begin selecting people to enter our closed beta release.
We have put in a ton of new features and improved upon the look and feel of Swarrm.
